Observation details
While looking out of my kitchen window, I saw a thrush of some type hopping around on the patio behind our house, and then it fluttered up to the patio fence and perched there for a short while. I was able to get one really poor-quality photo from that window, and then, when I tried to open the back door slowly to get a better photo, it flew away out of sight. I downloaded the photo to the Birding in Indiana Facebook Group. Opinions were split there between Veery and Gray-Cheeked Thrush for the ID. I feel Gray-Cheeked Thrush is the more likely ID since the back feathers (which do not show up well in the photo) were much more drab and gray than reddish.
