Observation details
Photos added. When I saw it, I thought it was a Veery due to the gorgeous rusty coloration on the entire backside of the bird and its size - a little bigger than the Gray-cheeked Thrushes I’ve seen. Studying it more, the gray face, faint eye ring, and the spotting looked more Gray-cheeked-like and fitting coloration there for Gray-cheeked. White flanks though... (Disregard the red lower mandible - it was chowing down on mulberries). After some consensus with some individuals who are more experienced with thrushes and these 2 species in particular, we’ve determined it is indeed a Veery.
