Observation details
First state record. White-throated Sparrow size and build. Undersides white. White rump. Reddish-orange on breast extending onto shoulder. Black wingbar between white wingbar and orange wingbar. White patch towards base of primaries visible on folded wing. On folded wing, primaries, secondaries, and terials appear black; tertials edged in orange, primaries and secondaries edged with yellow. Back scalloped with black centers and brown fringes. Head and neck gray-brown base color. Whitish collar. Two black vertical lines along back of neck. Crown ringed with black. Thick black ring at front of face along edge of bill. Bill yellow with black tip. Crown peaked at rear in some postures. I believe it is a non-breedling plumaged male judging by the bill color, black on face, and brightness and extent of orange.
