Two birds can be heard counter-singing. The second bird is farther west and can be heard in the recording at 0:13 and 0:26.
Observation details
Birds first reported yesterday by C. Duhalde. Heard immediately upon walking north towards the river. Two distinct birds singing on the north side of creek. The first bird was seen perched high immediately after I crossed the wooden bridge and I was able to snap some photos. It continued to sing the entire time and at one point, as I was taking photos of COYE, sounded like it was on the south side of the creek before heading back to the north side. The second bird farther to the west was recorded too and eventually seen later on. In one of the audio recordings (ML234589871) both birds can be heard. Likley ssp. I. v. auricollis. Personally, a much desired county add.
