Observation details
A large wader, dwarfing the nearby Killdeer - the largest shorebird to compare with. Overall reddish with gray tones to back and whitish to undertail coverts. Bill shorter than a dowitcher and body more plump than that species. Stayed on a few islands in main slough, either at water's edge or in dry land feeding . Seen by MoB. Did associate with some peeps for a time. Pics distant, but helpful
