Observation details
Found and photographed by Carl Edwards who studied the bird well before coming up with confirmation. Bird showed rufous on the wings, darker face browner not gray, lack of anything on lores, rufous rump, primaries, and tail. We heard clearly though faintly its ascending call. We heard bird softly singing today at a distance (matches perfectly Sibley's number one song from NY). Perfect match on today's birds' vocalization. If anyone is thinking of seeing this bird, i would like to ask you to be respectful of its space and go easy on playbacks. Try to keep a safe distance of 6ft just in case from others. If you're patient, you should be able to have some type of view and/or hear the species. Thanks. Great find by Carl Edwards again! I got some recordings but it's already faint on the iPhone and I don't know how good it will be when i post on eBird.101% Bicknell's Thrush. You might need supersonic ears to really tell here. I could hear it faintly but wind noise or other sounds obstructed the BITH's song I posted here. If you want the challenge, you won't be disappointed.:)
