Observation details
in gray overcast conditions, scoped for about 45 minutes before two bright orange-red legs jumped out. Observed through scope for 30 seconds, quickly digi-scoped for another minute, then could not relocate the bird due to multiple "dust-ups" of nervous peeps. The bird had obvious bright orange-red legs. The bird was larger and bulkier than nearby pectoral sandpipers. bill slightly decurved, back pattern was large scale-looking, and the tertials had almost a banded look to them. Very different from any other shorebird viewed.
