Observation details
I found a group of 4 orioles in an elderberry bush in the nature center. 1 was a bright orange adult male Bullock's and 2 were female/immature type Bullock's showing gray bellies. The 4th bird was about the same size as the Bullock's. It was a yellow-orange color with a greenish tint on the head, back, and underside. It had a short tail in comparison with its body size. The wings had two obvious crisp white wingbars. The bill was of moderate length. The bill appeared straight with a slightly decurved culmen. A small amount of black feathering was evident beneath the base of the bill, apparently the beginning of a black bib starting to molt in. This was the young male Orchard reported intermittently since December. I did not see the adult male Orchard, however.
