Observation details
***Very rare. Continuing male in NW corner of complex. First detected by warbling song, then bird flew in to attack its reflection in our rear view mirrors and on excavating equipment. Large blue seedeater with thick silver beak and rufous wing coverts. Visited with staff member. Complex closed to public but arrangements might be possible via the regional manager Kyle Black. May also be audible at times from Burgess Road where fields back up against west ponds.
