Observation details
Continuing bird. Located by its call, observed and photographed after patient observation of vicinity of the call. Identified by call and by the distinct stripes on its crown and across its eyes. Warbler was first observed ~1045 along the dwindling stream beside the reservoir road, just past the first main stream crossing. Around 1200 the Warbler moved to the wall on the north side of the canyon where it hid among the low bushes 30 yards or so off the road, in the sun as if to find a resting spot for the afternoon. Warbler was reclusive, never remaining in view for long and preferring shelter just behind a branch or two.
