Behavior and other notes: Adult male Baltimore Oriole, ASY, just waking up. These are the first vocalizations of the morning. He was apparently practicing LONG SONGS during this recording. I have never heard long songs from this species. Dr. Allen recorded an example in 1952. There did not appear to be any conspecifics in his immediate vicinity.
