Media notes
Nesting colony that also included the following: Black-crowned Night-heron, Great Egret, Snowy Egret, Glossy Ibis, Great Blue Heron, Green Heron. When a Yellow-crowned Night-heron flew out away from the colony, an attempt was made to follow it with the parabola. One or two faint calls in the background are unidentified. The colony is young (known only to the refuge for 2-3 years). ML: Originally catalogued as Nycticorax violaceus. Changed per AOU 7th ed. Social Context: Colony.
