Observation details

Maximum simultaneous count of males (32 south of the road and two north) and females (all south of the road). It seems likely that there another male or two was present and that possibly many more females, which seemed to be coming and going more often, were present. When the last female copulated with a male and then took off, the males gradually stopped displaying. By that time, only 20 or 25 males remained, and all but 4 soon flew off to the east before landing mostly together on a distant hill. The remaining 4 males then departed over the next 15 minutes or so.
