Media notes
According to Mauricio, this is the call of a baby Rufous Motmot, calling from inside its nest hole----which is definitely a motmot nest cavity. It's located in a 4' vertical mud bank right beside the main trail, at 1400m. It's still totally cloudy, threatening of rain. Background includes a Spotted Nightingale-Thrush singing, a Rufous Motmot trilled call, and a Scaly-breasted Wren.
