Media notes
The staccato introductory notes make me suspect Black-throated Blue, but that song normally ends with one buzz. The first rendition has a next-to-last note lower in pitch, more similar to Black-throated Blue. But I have never heard of a Black-throated Green with such a structure. Hybridization? An unexpected species like Townsends? My best guess is that this is a Black-throated Blue learning to sing, but that is just a wild guess.
