WEGR with Bonaparte's Gull
Observation details
Observed in ocean just north of southernmost jetty. Distinctly long neck with white front, dark back, black cap to head, red eyes and long, thin yellowish bill. About twice the size of Horned Grebes it was with. In contrast with Clark's Grebe, this individual's bill was gray-yellowish, not bright yellow and it was all dark around the eye (see added picture with close-up of head.
