Media notes
Two cuts of multiple (12+) males at a lekking area up the old cobblestone road from Umbrellabird Lodge; an occasional female was visible. This is happening at mid-levels and in the canopy (or subcanopy) of tall, humid foothill forest. In background of the first cut, a hermit flies through and howler monkeys call in distance toward end. Distant traffic on highway. In second cut, Red-masked Parakeets fly past, calling. I suppressed low-pitched (0-66Hz) traffic noise in second cut.
Observation details
Two females were seen separately along the way, and then there were 12 males displaying at a lek (where we saw no females).
