Species - Great Crested Flycatcher Date - October 30, 2014 Time - 3:50 - 4:04 pm Location - Lake County, Highway 61, at 5329 Number of Birds Observed - One Observer - Craig Mandel, MBW group Notes on Observation - A single Great Crested Flycatcher was observed hawking insects next to a house on the North side of Highway 61. Close up photo's were taken by Larry Sirvio, which ruled out the rarer possibilities. Key field marks: Bright yellow breast, which extended into the vent. dark gray head and chest, with a bicolored bill. The base of the bill was a pale yellow. Distinct white wing bars and stripes on back, with a Rufous colored tail.
