Observation details
From an audio tape: Approximately 30 birds singing in chorus. Heard from a distance and thought at first to be blackbirds. Many did not have bills open, but some did. Perched on stems, I didn't say whether Juncus or Spartina. Marsh ends abruptly at this point where storm water runoff forms a small pool, of potentially fresh water. Tide was remarked to be high, albeit not maximum height. Seaside sparrow never encountered at this location before or since (1991-2000). I repeatedly mentioned that I could see their white throats.
