Observation details
**Rare in winter. Presumably wintering here. Bird was along creek on southeast side of park. First detected and identified by metallic call note, similar to Northern Waterthrush but a bit flatter and less resonant. Seen well. From Northern also by larger bill, sparse streaking on underparts, unmarked throat. Bill about typical for Louisiana, maybe a bit small and not particularly helpful for ID on this bird. Legs fairly bright pink. Photos.
