Second from left; with three Mallards and a Canada Goose
Observation details
Photos. Male paired with apparent pure female Mallard. Superficially similar to female Mallard but noticeably darker with a bright yellow bill. No curled tail feathers or other obvious traits of hybridization. Bit of a white fringe to the tail but per Steve Mlodinow that is within range for Mexican, especially first-year males. The pair flew south from the reservoir.
