Media notes
This recording highlights Bird #1, which at that time was singing at from the south side of the road near the western end of where it sang from the previous week. Although unseen, the bird was apparently 25-30 meters away and about 20 meters up in a densely vegetated tree that it also used the previous week. Bird #2 was singing intermittently at this time, apparently from the northwestern part of its territory. The sun was periodically in the treetops during this recording, partly cloudy, generally calm but with a slight breeze at times, 82° F. ML: Subject identified by recordist as Xiphorhynchus guttatus polystictus but assigned to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [guttatus Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 2016). -[Brad Walker 11Aug2016]. This individual was recorded multiple times and can be found in the following ML records: 221669, 221671, 221677, 221687, 221698, 222319, 222338, 222355, and 222357. Equipment Notes: Sennheiser powered using phantom power and with filter in flat position and attenuator off for all recordings. Nagra input set at 2 mV / Pa and low-pass filter in flat position unless noted otherwise.
