Media notes
A male that was in constant motion as it forged by walking on the ground about 8-10 meters away and just inside from the edge of scrubby, terra firme forest along the spur road about 1 1/2 km. beyond the logging camp. In this particular spot, the forest floor was quite open, but the mid-levels were quite dense and consisted of mostly vine tangles. The bird highlighted was one of two birds heard counter-singing (one on either side of the road and both apparently giving “male” songs). Brian Daniels saw this bird before I recorded it and I saw it while I was recording. Overcast, calm, 78° F. Equipment Notes: Sennheiser powered using phantom power and with filter in flat position and attenuator off for all recordings. Nagra input set at 2 mV / Pa and low-pass filter in flat position unless noted otherwise.
