Media notes
When I first recorded a single natural song by these birds, they were unseen but apparently about 6 meters away and at eye-level, but after playback the birds were 6-10 meters away and 2-3 meters up, both times in very thick undergrowth at the edge of a clearing in terra firme forest along a spur road that extended about 100 meters north of the spur road beginning about 1 km. beyond the logging camp. I subsequently saw both a female and an immature male (with a gray hood that still having mostly brown wings), but Jhonathan saw three birds here, so it may have been a family group. Equipment Notes: Sennheiser powered using phantom power and with filter in flat position and attenuator off for all recordings. Nagra input set at 2 mV / Pa and low-pass filter in flat position unless noted otherwise.
