Media notes
Behavior and other notes: Long cut of a female Northern Cardinal singing songs, some with burry endings, from perch in a Virginia Pine. She has been fighting her reflection in a window all morning, so she is pretty excited. The male was singing in the background from many different perches. At times, she seemed to change song type to match him. Recording Time: 0824 (UTC -4). Temperature 11C. Habitat: mixed deciduous woods. Distance to sound source: 12.5 meters. Specific location: Latitude 39.575464, Longitude -78.056623. Elevation 156 meters. ID’d by sight and sound; ID confidence 100%. Equipment notes: Recorder HPF on at 80Hz, -12dB/octave. Contributed for the female bird song project: femalebirdsong.org
