Observation details

Chaseable. Found this bird at marker A, in the northeast corner of the only cell in middle of the dry aeration basins which was entirely filled with water. Moved around a little, flying around for a minute over marker C, and then returning to a small pond at marker B. Shortly after it relocated to A again.      Non-breeding adult: red facial skin, reddish legs, obvious red eye iris. No white around facial skin at all, indicating non-breeding. Bird photographed and confirmed by others and better photos have been posted on the Muskegon Bird Blog.      State bird! 21st Michigan Record!!
