Observation details
FHC, submitted 04.02.20 Kept a running total as I heard them singing and/or saw them. Multiple birds seen foraging together and or singing to each other- three the highest number heard singing in a group as they foraged in the same immediate area. If I would have only been on the main trails I would have had a total of two birds. Most were deeper in the woods. Also a very windy day with gusts predicted into the 50 mph range, so that may have kept them in the woods. Walked a new area of the park, more to the west, and off the main trails through an area with more woody debris. These were mainly heard off of the main trails near thickets/tree-brush piles. Multiple birds heard calling to each other at different points, three at one point, and some seen. Don't know why these are called Winter Wrens as I seem to encounter more of them in the Spring.
