Observation details
Unsure what this could be. Seemed large (see combined photo with adult male Anna's [using photo in report, see above], taken from same spot, with the feeder scaled, rotated & lined up as a top transparent layer, with shape and flower decal lined up very closely; you can see the slight discrepancy of the angle on the left-hand side of the feeder). In the photo of the flight shot, the feet - tail length seems somewhat similar to Broad-tailed, but the head - feet length looks a little short. Not sure what to tell from the tail, though perhaps there's some very short emargination on the most central visible feathers?
