Observation details
First winter bird very close to western edge of Prospect Park Lake, mixed in with Ring-billed Gulls and a few Canada Geese. Dark ear spot on an otherwise pale head, orange bill with black tip, orange legs, dark carpal bars, underside of each wing dark near the outer end. Dark terminal band on white tail. Mantle pale gray.
