Observation details
*Very Rare, but regular in late fall* - Myiarchus flycatcher, pale gray overall with whitish throat, pale yellowish wash on lower belly and undertail coverts, rufous flight feathers, rufous rectrices wih dark sides appearing to cross over the tip. Rather cooperative but occasionally disappearing into the brush. Staying low in bayberries, perching no more than 3 ft off ground. Twice flushed high into scrub (6+ ft. perch). Seen in dunes along Fisherman's Road. Observed with Tom Burke, Gail Benson, Doug Futuyma, Steve Schellenger, and others.
