Observation details
One individual that's been around for a while. Fans its tail delibrately and repeatedly mostly in response to calls. Responded to both Red-breasted and Kashmir calls. Made some vocalisations unlike Red-breasted, high pitched short ki aside from the tk tk call. It's typical trrr calls appeared a little harder than Red-breasted and matched Kashmir recording better. It had a red throat and a grey breast band just like a Taiga male (ruled out from call alone aside from the characters), a comepletely pale lower mandible, nearly black uppertail coverts unlike Red-breasted (as dark as the dark tail, not contrasting with the rest of the tail at all).
