Observation details
The one anchored shrimp boat was about 6 miles offshore and had most of the birds loafing on the water around it. We spent a lot of time stirring them up with popcorn and kept returning to this location during the day. This was where we had all our jaeger sightings. Photos revealed 4 different individuals as determined by wing molt and color pattern of head and belly. All adult with dark underwings. Two had central tail streamers and two were molted out. All were molting primaries with 3 to 6 new outers.
