Observation details
Bird showing some pale on malar but also some yellow and perhaps the bird was in an incomplete moult into breeding plumage? Center of tail feathers paler than expected for Eastern Meadowlark and with thin barring - this would be thicker on Eastern Meadowlark. Call was the typical "chupp" of Western Meadowlark, and song included "chur" tones unlike the more flutey Eastern Meadowlark.
