Media notes
Middle bird, you can barely make out the second bird on the far left. Note eye line, bill shape, and size relative to Long-billed Curlew behind it.
Observation details
Medium-large brown shorebird with medium-long decurved bill and distinct dark eyebrow. Bill all dark and shaped similar to Long-billed Curlew but shorter and curve downward begins (relatively) closer to face. Slightly smaller than associated Long-billed Curlew, larger than Greater Yellowlegs and Black-bellied Plovers. In pools in grazing pasture along NE side, on auto tour running along Sandy Mush. Photos are just...so bad, I'm sorry, but key features are visible. These birds should be just a touch early for migration.
