Media notes

NOTES: (No. of Animals/Sex: 1 adult [recordist checked male and unknown]. Behav. Context: Anxiety. Frequency of Sound: Agitated. Gen. Climate: Dry. Cover Density: Medium.) [Thirty-five examples of the "Chick-a-dee" Call of BNA, most of which include A, B, and C-notes, but about one-fourth of the calls represent exclusively series of C-notes. Quality changed from 2 to 2-1 (approaching 1-2 - some hiss but generally quite good, however, it appears that this cut was high-pass filtered at about 3 kHz, which seems to have cut into the calls of the birds) - CAM - 1 April 2005]. Sound stimulation was (other): playback Pygmy Owl. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest, Deciduous Forest, Creek, Riparian, Canyon.
