Observation details
A large contingent of Cornell student birders assembled this morning at Stewart Park to check for any storm birds that might have blown into Cayuga Lake overnight. Soon after arriving, Glenn Seeholzer spotted a juvenile Sabine's Gull in a group of Ring-billed Gulls. Everyone got on the bird and we watched it cavort about for a short while before it disappeared into the fog. As others arrived to see the bird, it reappeared a bit north along the west shore of the lake before continuing north.
