Observation details

**Rare here? Scarce in any event. First eBird record for Cambodia but there are a couple of prior Blyth’s Shrike-Babbler records for this region which are potentially (likely?) misidentified Dalat Shrike-Babblers. Generally thought to be a Dalat/Langbian plateau endemic (Vietnam), but that is the closest that any well-known populations of the White-browed complex are, and the song is consistent with Dalat rather than Blyth’s. Also the red tertials were uniformly red, with no black tips, and the primaries had restricted white tips, both of which are characters attributable to P.annamensis. Audio, photos, and video.

  • Crested Serpent-Eagle Spilornis cheela
