Observation details
First observation at 0911. First seen perched on a post on the south-facing slope of the hill east of Head Lane, apparently feeding. Around 0931, observed a NOHA coursing over this hill, then swooping at the perched PRFA. The harrier landed on the ground next to the post several times, then took off and made another pass at the falcon. After several attempts, the harrier flew off, apparently giving up. Ca 0945, the PRFA (now perched on a power pole on top of the hill) flew south and then west, skimming over the fiedl south of reach 4 on the property. It dove out of sight over the field (attempting a prey capture?), and then (the same?) NOHA popped up from this area and chased it. Lost sight of the PRFA still in flight, far to the south (ca 1-2 miles), still west of Head Lane. Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 1 on property. 2 beyond property.
