Observation details
The bird was first noticed as a fly-by, calling excitedly. It landed in Pond C and we eventually got good kooks with scopes. A smallish, very bland gray shorebird with black legs and a medium long black bill. When I played the "pjeev" call (Sibley) the bird turned around and flew right over us, circled back to the pond and landed in the same spot. We have some good photos which I will try to embed. This could be the same bird seen here on October 25th, although I did not see it here three days ago. We have seen them here occasionally during the winter months.
