Observation details
Encountered in Dene day use area on way back. It skirted the small HORE for a few minutes, and even dropped down from the spruce sprigs it was hanging down on, and played in the alder bushes bullying the HORE by short chases. Very vocal bird, but with song-like phrases. Most frequently given was a ringing twitter, perhaps described as a ‘churring’ sound. There were also a couple variations of chip balls and even a low ‘buzz’ given a few times. ‘Chick’ call given a few times but not extended into the rough ‘chickadee’ call. I tried to make a Voice Memo recording on my phone but it’s likely much too quiet to post.
