NOTES: Weather: WIND; EACH EVENING FOR TWO WEEKS THIS BIRD COULD BE FOUND IN ATALL GUANACASTE TREE, CALLING STEADILY AND SOMETIMES FEEDING. IT OFTEN FED ON A WASP NEST, PRESUMABLY UNOCCUPIED BY WASPS. AFTER RECORDING ITS CALLS I PLAYED THEM BACK. THE BIRD IMMEDIATELY FLEW OVER MY HEAD TO A SMALL GUANACASTE. I RECORDED ITS CALLS (THE MIDDLE SECTION OF THISRECORDING) ANDPLAYED THEM BACK. THE BIRD FLEW OVER MY HEAD TO THE FIRST GUANACASTE AND CONTINUED CALLING. THESE WERE RECORDED. THORN SCRUBWITH OCCASIONALTREES. Sex: 1 UNKNOWN BNA: Possibly the "Tsuka-Tsuka Call" is heard throughout the recording. CZ 23/02/2004. Response to playback: Approach. Habitat: Scrub.
