Media notes

Plaintive crying, possibly in defense of nest. Nest was on a small cay of about two acres in a tree about 15 feet high. As the nest was approached, a bird (sex unknown) climbed to the top of the tree and remained their calling. I had never heard this sound before. Other recordist: Knowles, D. ML: Unbroken cut with internal recordist announcement/handling noise gain change. BNA: Included here are both "toc, toc, toc" calls and a scream that is not described in BNA account. It is unclear from the data available whether the calling bird was an adult or a nestling, but the vocalizations given seem to suggest the latter [??]. (CAM - 1 March 2005]. Habitat: Island.
