Observation details
Tiny white bird, black and white tail, bright red beak. Distinctive call. This little birdie was hopping right along the edge of the trail, right near Pond 1. It almost landed on me twice, and kept coming very close. The distinctive call and bright white feathers and red beak made it very easy to track. Seems like it was a pet or is an escapee. I’ve never met a bird so unafraid of a human. I told the Sea and Sage office volunteer about it, not sure what they could do, but I hope this little bird got some help.
