Observation details
After scanning for 45 minutes, we finally found these 2 geese together preening among the Canada. Both smallish ~2/3 the size of the Canadas, lighter more "scaly" upper parts and the bills were very stubby, one much more so than the other. Head shape was rather "blocky" looking. These are certainly the same individuals report by Larry T. and Frank a week ago. To me one was a "no brainer" with extremely short stubby bill, the other's bill seemed a bit longer...but reasonably within the range for this species, perhaps a female and male. they appeared to act as a Pair or cohorts of some type. I will post them as soon as I have a chance to upload the photos.
