Observation details
This unexpected shorebird was associating with about 6 Killdeer and 3 Dunlin on a mudflat on the SW end of the first bay on entering Chester Frost SP. We walked closer and although still distant I was able to obtain a few photos that are helpful. The bird did not flush and never vocalized. The buffy breast and nicely marked back were helpful in ID. Tertials difficult to fully evaluate due to distance. However I believe the photos are helpful in confirming SB ID.
