Observation details
These birds do not stay in one place. They move fast, diving together for about 30 seconds and then swimming on top usually for 10 seconds before going down again. Sometimes they'd stay on top for up to a minute. They travelled eastward from Meigs Point to just inside Buoy 8 at the entrance of Clinton Harbor. Then they turned around and headed back westward towards Meigs Point, coming very close to shore, and turned southwest, heading further and further out.
