A Bronze-winged Courser in daylight. Bronze-winged Courser (Rhinoptilus chalcopterus) is the largest species of African Courser. The species is nocturnal, but may sometimes be found active on overcast days. Bronze-winged Coursers prefer woodland habitats, and are often seen hunting for prey on roads at night. Elevation: 1305 m. Date added to IBC: April 2, 2019.
