This is the undescribed flycatcher presumed to be a Microeca that is known from New Ireland and New Britain. I have seen this bird three times at this site over the years. Elevation: 1345 m. Date added to IBC: June 21, 2016.
Observation details
The undescribed Bismarck Flycatcher, see photo, the third time I have seen it here; upperparts brownish, tail slightly darker and notched, no yellow in plumage. Pale supercilium before eye, fading out above and behind. Dark but poorly defined loral line. Underparts whitish, narrow pale mark on bend of wing. Eye dark, bill dark and not broad at base like a Myiagra, short rictal bristles, legs and feet greyish-black.
