Media notes

Juvenal plumage vulture, in the flooded forest along the Rio Negro. Initially thought this was a black vulture. But the head is not wrinkled, so if that is the ID, it has to be a juvenile. However, the feathering in juvenile black vultures goes up onto the crown of the head; this bird does not show that. Moreover, the structure of the head and beak seems more in line with lesser yellow-headed vulture than black vulture. Any other field marks that I missed?. Elevation: 15 m. Date added to IBC: June 21, 2016.
