Observation details
Myiarchus flycatcher, medium sized, all dark bill of medium size, whitish wing-bars, very pale yellowish belly, reddish in wings and tail, and grayish back. Bill was not heavy enough to be a Brown-crested Flycatcher. Too much reddish color to be a Dusky-capped Flycatcher. Belly not yellow enough to be a Great-crested Flycatcher. Nutting's Flycatcher is really out of range but we would be hard pressed to totally eliminate that species without a call note or two. Ash-throated is our local breeding species in western Colorado.
